The story behind the blog — and the person who built it for you.
I didn’t start this blog. I started it out of frustration.
A few years ago, I was trying to transform my living room. I had a clear vision in my head something warm, elegant, layered with texture and purpose. But every time I searched online, I got the same thing: generic lists, recycled Pinterest screenshots, and articles clearly written by someone who’d never actually placed a throw pillow in their life.
I’m Fahad Taj. And that frustration is exactly why I built Luxury Home Decor.
Not as a side project. Not to chase traffic. But because I genuinely believe that every home deserves to feel beautiful and every person who wants to create that beauty deserves real, honest, useful guidance to get there.
Who I Am
I’ve spent years obsessing over the way spaces make people feel. The way a well-placed lamp changes the energy of a room. The way the right color palette can make a small bedroom feel like a five-star retreat. The way seasonal touches a wreath here, a textured blanket there can turn a house into a home that breathes with you all year long.
I’m not an interior designer with a fancy degree. I’m someone who has made mistakes bought the wrong furniture, picked the wrong paint, gone overboard on decor that looked great online but felt wrong in real life. And I’ve learned from every single one of those mistakes.
That real-world experience is what I bring to every article I write here. No fluff. No filler. Just the kind of honest, practical advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.
What Luxury Home Decor Is and What It’s Not
“Luxury” doesn’t mean expensive. That’s the first thing I want you to know.
Luxury means intentional. It means choosing pieces that matter. It means designing spaces that reflect who you are, not just what was on sale. It means creating a home that you actually love walking into every single day.
On this blog, you’ll find:
- Bedroom, living room, kitchen, garden, office, and kids’ room decor ideas tested and curated with real homes in mind
- Seasonal decor guides for spring, summer, fall, and winter so your home evolves beautifully through the year
- Budget-friendly ideas that look expensive without the price tag
- Trend-forward inspiration grounded in timeless, liveable style
- Honest product recommendations only things I’d genuinely put in my own home
My Mission
My mission is simple: to make beautiful home design accessible to everyone. Not just people with big budgets or design degrees. Everyone.
Whether you’re decorating your first apartment on a tight budget, refreshing a family home that’s lost its spark, or planning a full-room transformation you’ve been dreaming about for years this blog is built for you.
Every article I publish is carefully researched, personally curated, and written with one question in mind: would this actually help someone make their home more beautiful? If the answer is yes, it goes up. If it’s just noise, it doesn’t.
A Note on Transparency
Some posts on this site contain affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them at no extra cost to you. I only ever recommend products I genuinely believe in. My readers’ trust means more to me than any commission.
This blog is independently run. No brand pays to be featured. No sponsored opinion is passed off as my own. What you read here is what I actually think.
Thank You for Being Here
Building this blog has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. Every comment, every message from a reader who says “this helped me finally finish my bedroom” that’s why I keep going.
I hope you find something here that inspires you. Something that makes you look at your space differently. Something that gives you the confidence to create the home you’ve always wanted.
Welcome to Luxury Home Decor. I’m really glad you’re here.
